008 | [Situation] About 12 Chains South of Castlecraig This is a Mineral Spring the water of which is strongly Impregnated with Sulphur. It has, however, been much weakened by drainage, and there is now a Pump Sunk into this Spring, the Sinking of which nearly destroyed its property as a Mineral Spring. It is situated at the west side of the Gardens. |

Professor of Chemistry in the University of Edinburgh from a chemical analysis ascertained
