014 | [Situation] Immediately North of Caberston This was one of the ancient feudal residences, and one of the places of strength erected for the protection of the Border. It was Square in form & two Storeys high, At the building of the farm house, it was joined to the dwelling house and used for a Kitchen. The tower along with the Steading (excepting a small house now occupied by the farm Servant) was removed about 7 Years ago. |
