013 [Situation] About ¾ of a Mile W by N. [West by North] from Nether Horsburgh.
This Hill derives its name from its vicinity to Horsburgh Castle. It is cultivated nearly to the top, with the exception of its Northern side being covered with heathy pasture. On the Summit is the remains of a Camp. On its South Eastern Side there is a small plantation of mixed wood, chiefly fir, which appears to have been originally intended as a sheep shelter.
FORT (Site of) [Castle Hill] Fort (Site of) 013 On the Summit [of Castle Hill] are the remains of a Camp.
