009 [Situation] In the Northern portion of the Parish of Inverleithen

Applies to a considerable district, thro which the Leithen Water flows, in the northern part of the Parish of Innerleithen. The Origin of the name is derived, from the Leithen Water, & the numerous Hopes or Glens in its Vicinity. Its northern limits bound from Dundreich, along the parish boundary until it reaches Windlestraw Law, from thence in a S.W. [South West] direction to Gledknowe, Innerleithen Common, & Lee Pen --- From Lee Pen it passes over the chair of the hills running Northerly, by Mouse Dean Head, Clog Knowe & Dunslair Heights - where it's common with the parish boundary till it gets to DunDreich.
