A deep glen extending from the north end of Muir Plantation, in an easterly direction to meet the junctions of the Dean Burn, and Whitelaw Burn. Its surface is Mixed Wood and a small stream flows in the bottom of it.

A large burn flowing from the confluence of Whitelaw Burn, and the burn that flows through Fairie Dean, in a south easterly direction till it joins Eddleston Water at the South end of the village of Eddleston.
