Is a small cataract or water fall situated upon Cowieslinn Burn very near to "Cowieslinn farm house", the water rushes over rocks to the depth of about 17 feet and the noise from it is heard to a considerable distance during wet weather. The name takes is origin from a Cow having been Killed by falling over the "linn - or water fall.
