006 [Situation] S.E. [South East] portion of Jeffries Course
A large Cairn on the summit of Jeffrey's Cross, in the centre of which there is a Trigl. [Trigonometrical] Station called "Jeffries Course". It is at present about 70 links in diameter and about 4 feet above the surface of the hill. It was very large at one time, but the greater part of it is said to have sunk in the moss.
