This spot is pointed out as the Supposed Site of Merlins Grave. There is nothing to mark its site all trace thereof having been removed many Years ago by Cultivation; the field, however, if still Called Merlins Park. It is said to have been the Earthen Sepulchre of Merlin, a British Bard, who was born about the year 460 at Carmarthen, in South Wales. Vide Captain Armstrong and others. There is nothing Known in the locality as to who he was or where born. I have made all the Enquiries possible respecting it.
