The Easten End or half of a Row of Cottages on the Estate of Rachan Occupied by several persons; and the Property of James Tweedie Esq. Rachan This, and some land adjoining, formerly was a seperate property, and was Originally granted to a Cobbler named Bertram by one of the Kings of Scotland. See Legend in Statistical account. At the south side of the gardens is the site of the old Pool which gave name to the property.
