This is the Remains of the old House of Whitslade. It is Situated at the N. [North] side of the present Farm Offices and is used as a Byre. all that remains is the basement storey which is Vaulted and the walls are of great thickness; it was apparently a place of Considerable Strength, and belongs to a branch of the Tweedies
