"Cott" HAS BEEN OMITTED and should read:-
"Cott, Cott, Cott; Robert S. Stevenson Clerk to Mr Traill, James Logie Postmaster Pierowall, John Meil Tenant; A farm house & outhouses. Situated about 1/4 of a mile north of the farm of Cleat and about 1/8 of a mile South of the Point of Cott. It is the property of the Trustees of the late Mr Stewart of Cleat House.__

[Under "Point of Cott" - "trustees of the late Mr Traill." should read "trustees of the late Mr Stewart."]

[An entry for "Tumulus" has been cancelled. The description reads:-"A mound containing a number of ancient gravestones. some placed on end at the head and foot of the graves. and others flagstones set on edge arranged in the form of a chest. No information could be obtained concerning the gravestones but the general belief is that a battle was fought in the vicinity and the slain on one side interred here. and that of the other 3/8 of a mile to the south. where now stands the large and modern farmstead of Cleat. and nearly 1/8 of a mile North East of Cott."]
