The Hand-book to the Orkney Isles Says:- Coming to "Breckness House", we see the ruins of Bishop Graham's Summer Residence, one of the ancient bishops of Orkney, a descendant of whom, Mr. Watt of Breckness Still owns the property."
Mr. Watt being dead the property is now in the hands of Mrs. Watt. The walls of this building are almost entire but in a ruinous Condition; It is Situated immediately South of the farm houses & offices of Breckness
