120 A large bay "on the west coast, has a good opening to the Pentland frith and to Stromness, and offers safe anchoring ground to either small vessels or ships of 500 or 600 tons burden". Formed by Hoxa Head, on the north and Herston Head, on the south, and is nearly 3 miles southwest of St. [Saint] Margaret's Hope.
