[?rough pasture?] One end of the Cist is exposed to view, & open, A portion of a human skull, very much decayed, can be seen, and it is said that a number of other human bones are concealed amongst the earth with which it is half filled, I am unable to ascertain the time at which the Cist was first discovered, but it is well known to be upwards of 100 years ago, The lid of the Cist is composed of one stone nearly 3 feet wide and 6 feet long, while the sides are composed of several stones built much after the fashion of the ordinary Culvert, |
