108 Applies to the remains of an ancient pictish dwelling situate about 1/4 mile S. of Tofts, and about 1/2 mile E. of Orquil and on the farm of Tofts.
Recently when a few men were searching about for a place from where to quarry stones, for buildings about to be erected on the farm of Tofts, came expectedly on the ruins of a Broch. The field is on the west side of the Scapa Road, and its ancient name is Warbuster (now obsolete). From the small portion of the foundations of the circular tower which has been laid open, and from the few openings which have been made in the surroundings the original structure seems to have been on a similar plan to the one at Scapa. The configuration of the ground round the Brough of Warbuster (see previous remark) still bears evident trace of the large circle with [continued on next page]
