Hoy Sound is included between Ora Ness and Houton head upon the Shore of Mainland to the north eastward and Hoy and Green Heads in Hoy to the South westward, and the island GHraemsay divides it into two Channels; Burwick Sound, the Southern passage, is however unfit for ordinary navigation. Its western boundary is from the Kame of Hoy in Hoy to Break Ness on the Mainland. |
