101 An ancient building termed "Brough" externally produces the appearance of a truncated cone. it stands about 30 ft. [feet ] above the surface of the ground and measures about 370 ft. [feet] in circumference at the base and is covered over with a sward of fine grass since it has not been excavated it is not known what it consists of internally, It is situated about 1/8 of a mile west of "Bea" ¼ south west of Garth the property of Mr. S. Smith of Garth
