094 The remains of an ancient brough situated about 1/8 of a mile south of the farm house of Skogar: and ΒΌ mile south west of ''Downatown'' in the district of Isbister
20 years ago Professer Traill partly excavated this this Knowe and found therein a quantity of old Deer horns hair teeth and bone dust or ashes supposed to be human the interior consisted of a mass of large loose stones and in some cases placed so as to form rooms or apartments, in its present condition a wall surrounds this mass so as to Keep the stones and rubbish together but prior to the time of excavation, it stood an elevated green Knoll about 30 feet in height above the surface, Portions of the original interior walls & chambers still remain, Those exposed to view are indicated on trace by firm red line, The entire outer wall is modern,
