004 This name applies to a corn & barley mill & a sawmill & also to the dwelling houses where the old Chapel called St. Mary's is situated. The mills are driven by water power & are in good repair, so are the dwelling houses the whole being the property of G. McIntosh Esq. of Geddes. These objects were not generally distinguished by any particular name but Mr Geddes on application concluded to designate them that of Easter Geddes which was the original name of the place.

005 ; 008 A small stream which is the continuation of the Burn of Blarandualt and flowing in a Northern direction until its falls into the Muckle Burn, a short distance below the hamlet of Littlemill It separates the parish of Ardclach from that of Nairn for about 15 chains, and derives its name from the darkness of its water.
