001 This is a Spring Well situated close to the high Water Mark of the Moray Firth, and to the North of the farm Steading of "SeabanK". This is a celebrated Well Know Well, and Know as Tortola Well, the story goes thus how it received the name. "A Gentleman lost his health in the Island Of Tortola, his Case was hopeless, he dreamed of this [Cr??on] and was told, in the dream that the water of a Well here would cure him - he came to Nairn and spent several days among the bushes and discovered a Well & from that moment felt Cure to be certain - change of Climate - habits, Air, food, exercise, drinking pure cold spring water instead of Jamaican Rum & Water, all aided by his own imagination effected a perfect cure - and Doctors said that a Similar course would cure anybody without a Dream - JM
