002 This name is applied to a small hill, on the North side of the road leading from Nairn to Forres, and about one mile to the East of Auldearn village. It is said to be a place where public executions have taken place, from which circumstances it has been named Some time ago, whilst the farmer of Broombank was trenching the ground near the top of this hill, he came upon human bones at several places on this hill.
