Situated at the Southern end of this parish, on the sumit of this hill the Parishes of St. Andrews Lhanbryd, Speymouth and Rothes meet. it is the property of four proprietors viz:-: Earl of Fife, Duke of Richmond, Earl of Seafield and Captain Wharton.The local tradition concerning this hill is that a notorious robber of the name of Findlay was shot here by one of the Lairds of Coxton, hence the name. |
