007 This is a portion of arable and rough ground originally a Salt Water loch - it was of great size and at one period was an arm of the Sea flowing along the Laigh of Duffus and joining the Moray Firth at the promontory of Burghead. The boundary of Loch Spynie in this parish is from the Palace of Spynie extending northwards to the Spynie Canal, and thence westward to the Morayshire Brick and Tile Works.
