The Village is pleasantly situated on the north bank of the Lossie, of easy access with Elgin which is about half a mile distant, possesses several well planned Streets and a few elegant Villas surrounded ornamental pleasure grounds and Gardens. The Union Poorhouse is the only public building in the village, excepting a school built a few years by the General Assembly of the Established Church The Earl of Seafield is the sole proprietor of the Village. |
