018.10 | On the 4th of February 1855 as Mr John McDonald was working on the Gibbet Brae, he found the remains of a human being buried about 2½ feet under ground, no cofin had been used, the body being built round about with stones. The grave was dug east, and west, On Dr [Doctor] Dawson of Rothes examining the bones he said they were the remains of a young man about twenty four years of age. |
