026.10 A large tract of rising Ground planted with larch, and Slightly inter mixed with, Natural hard Wood. It is Generally called Scoot More in the district, but the name is Said to be a Corruption of the Gaelic "Sguab Mor", which
MeanS the big besom. It is the property of Sir George Macpherson Grant. Bart [Baronet] of Ballindalloch. This name applies as well to the Wood as to the Eminence.

026.10 On the farm of Ballintomb are two Standing Stones and a third one which formerly Stood with them now lies at the back of the Road dyke. This is Supposed to be remains of One of the Many Circles, Supposed to have been a Druidical place of Worship, but as to the number of Stones formerly here it is impossible to obtain any information. The Stone laying at the back of the road, was put into the Kitchen
of Pitchroy as a Chimney piece, but it is Said he met with Some Misfortune shortly after the placing it, and he thereupon ordered its removal to the place from were he took it.
