It is recorded that Allt Arder in the floods of '29 [1829] formed a New Channel here, the former Course was round the N. [North] of the Knoll and formed a Semi Curvee rocks and Wild-wood. and where it had a Celebrated Waterfall, at the foot of the Said Torr, Easward - Situated a little above (14 Ch) [Chains] above where the Railway Cross Allt Ardie
