010.08; 010.12 | This burn takes its rise in the adjoining parish of Rafford and after a course of a few miles, it falls into the Bay of Findhorn about two miles north of the town of Forres. It is a rapid stream in its upper course and works two mills, the Sanquhar Mills, and the Burnside Mills; besides passing through a Brewery and working several thrashing Machines. Its course for the last two or three miles is both deep and sluggish. |
