007.12 This name is applied to a considerable district within the Municipal and Parliamentary boundary of Elgin, on the north side of the River Lossie,so called from the circumstance of the Bishop's mills having stood here. It consists of a number of well planned streets and several villas which are surrounded by beautifully laid-out pleasure -grounds.
The Union Poorhouse is the only public building in it of any note; it was erected here a few years ago by the town and County.
