This road can still be traced in different parts of the parish, the first appearance of it is at a large wood in the centre of the parish, all traces of it disappears through the cultivated ground, until you reach the eastern boundary of which this road forms a portion. It was made under the direction of General Wade to afford easy means of Communica[tion] between Forres & Elgin. |
