A pedestrian statue of George IV situated in that part of George Street where it is intersected by Hanover Street, The figure itself is of bronze and of colossal dimensions, and stands on a pedestial of granite about 20 feet in height. It was erected in 1831 and was modelled by Chantry and considered to be one of his best and most successful efforts. |
