A large & handsome Structure of the Corinthian Style of Architecture From a basement above the first Story rise 6 handsome fluted Columns with elaborately Sculptured Capitals and above each of these capitals on a pediment is a Colossal emblematic Statue. The whole front is finely ornamented with Sculptured worK and the interior is also handsomely furnished It was built in 1849 - 50. This bank was incorporated by charter in 1746 & is a bank of Issue &. of Deposit. It has branch banKs in every town of note in Scotland.
