A large building built in 1833 and used as a bazaar by Mr Johnston of Straiton until 1843 when it was purchased by the Free church congregation & fitted up as a church with galleries, pews, &c. It is seated for about 1200. The minister is the Revd. [Reverend] W. Gillies whose stipend amounts to £130 from the sustentation fund & supplemmented by the congregation
