A small but handsome building, built by voluntary subscription in 1846, the interior is well fitted with seats etc sufficient to accommodate about 400 persons the minister is the Revd [Reverend] Mr Pitcairn. This Chapel belongs to a sect that has arisen within a few years past, & was founded by a Mr Irving from which the sect are usually called Irvingites but the members of the sect call the sect & church the One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church. |
