A short street leading from the end of Claremont St. to Henderson Row or Silver Mills, it is macadamised and lighted by up with gas. It only contains two houses on each side they are 4 stories high well built and in good repair and are occupied by respectable families.

This name applies to a group of old houses lying betwixt St. Stephen's Church and Henderson Row. In it is a large skinnery with offices, and at the N. [North] east corner stands St. Bernard's Free Church & the Northern District School. The dwelling houses are one story high badly built and covered with tile occupied by working people. It is said that their were some Silver Mills here at one time which ave rise to the name.
