The road leading from Leith to Queensferry, and properly called "Queensferry Road". The name "Ferry Road", is now, for the Sake of brevity, in common use. Its application is however now especially applied to the portion leading from the intersection of the Bonnington Road to Leith. For description, see the account, "Queensferry Road".
