[Situation] On the West Side of Madeira Street. A large and handsome edifice in the Grecian Style, Surmounted by an elegant spire, erected in 1816 at an expense of £12000. The interior is well fitted up with galleries &c. and is capable of accommodating a congregation of 1800. The present incumbent is the Revd [Reverend] William Davidson M.A. [Master of Arts] who receives a stipend varying from £600 to £1000 per annum. It is the Parish Church of North Leith. |
