[Situation] About 20 chs [chains] E. by N. [East by North] from North Leith Church. A neat Gothic Structure erected in 1840. It is a Free Church and is principally for the accommodation of Seamen visiting the Port. There are sittings for 800, a great number of which are free. In connection with this Church are two Schools, a male and a female School for the education of Seamen's Children, where education is given at a merely Nominal rate - Present Incumbent, Revd [Reverend] William Thomson. |
