[South South West] of Stow A Small neat Mansion House with Offices, garden & a few acres of ornamental ground attached, the Residence & property of Mrs Watson. it is Said to be built on the Site of an old Castle and a portion at the South west corner is supposed to be 500 years old and Consequently part of the Castle. Only a very Small exists. Therefore is no remains of any account remaining & the modern was built on part of the Site of the Old Castle. |
