013 A large stone building in good repair erected for and used as a Saw Mill. it is situated on the estate of Oxenford the property of the Earl of Stair near it formerly stood a farm house called Upperfield, no traces of this last now remains. This Saw Mill is worked by steam power.

[annexed] to it both are in good repair and have a small garden attached, It was built by the Heritors of the Ph. [Parish] there is an appointed teacher to it whose salary like that of all Ph. [Parish] Schoolmasters in Scotland is derived from the Heritors of the Ph. [Parish] and from Scholars fees.
