013 The old Church of Carrington stood within the present old Church-yard, and the present burying vault of the Ramsay family Commonly called the Whitehill Aisle is considered part of it, especially the lower part of the eastern gable. About the latter end of the 16 Century the Church was discontinued as a place of worship and another one was erected in the village of Carrington where it continues to be the Parish Church
