A small stream gathering on the farm of Craigsterrie and running in a northerly direction through part of a farm which was formerly called Whiteside and at length runs into the Water of Leith a little east of the village of Currie. Near its termination it changes its name and is called Poets Burn from the circumstance of its passing a place which was the residence of Thomson author of the Season. |
