011 A lofty peak towering upon the west side of a high heathy ridge, which is part of the Pentland range. Upon its summit stands a Trigl. [Trigonometrical] station. It is part of the farm of Eastside, and upon the other or eastern end of the same ridge a similar peak rises named the East Kip.
