011 Near the north east side of Esk Rig.
A clump of freestone rocks in a hollow at the source of the River North Esk. The place is well known in the locality as being formerly used as a boundary between the different Lairds lands in the district. There are several natural holes in the rocks which is supposed to give rise to the name "Bore Stane".
