010 Runn[in]g N.E. from Harburn demesne. - A considerable stream, formed by tributary streams from various parts of the moors, which converge in the demesne of Harburn, and flows [sic] through several artificial ponds. After leaving Harburn, it flows in a north-easterly direction through the farm of Bents and joins the Linhouse Water, near Linhouse.

Under Bents Burn over the first three columns is a pasted square of paper in two different hands, the first being at a guess the engraver's, the second the regular supervisor's, reading: 'On Plan 10 D at O.M.O. the name of a stream is written Bent Burn [wavily underlined], it is requested that this name may be corrected to Bents Burn [wavily underlined].'
