A considerable Stream having its source near the southern exremity of West Calder parish, its course is northerly and it is called "Crosswood Burn" till it reaches Camilty farm house, from there it is called Linhouse Water and form the boundary between the parishes of Kirknewton and Mid Calder and ultimately joins "Almond Water" a short distance below Mid Calder village. |
