A considerable sized wood situated to the south east from Calder House, and between the Murieston and Linhouse Waters. This wood is supposed at one time to have extended to Crosswood-hill which is 6 or 7 miles Southward, but it does not now exceed a mile and a half in length. the wood consists of oak, beech, ash, elm, common fir etc. It is the property of Lord Torphichen. |
