The front or north side is surmounted with a neat porch adorned with four pillars of the Doric order, its situation is low ? in hills. and hidden with wood, the ornamental grounds are excellent, and laid out with great taste, a short distance from the mansion are the offices which are neatly built and in good repair - also is attached 3 lodges. East, west and south the approach from the west is nearly 1 mile in length forming a complete arched way and the eastern one though shorter is not deserving of less notice.
