An ancient Well, noted by housewives for the excellence of its water in the infusion of Tea. This is derived from it having been attached to the vicarage of St Michaels. It is now covered by a pump.

Dam Brae - Note Bickers well is the local name, but the Rev [Reverend] Mr Beveridge
is led to believe that this is the well spoken of in the Stat [Statistical] account as
"Vicars well" and recommends it to be written "Vicars Well"
