Parish of Kirkliston [Continued] "The Hamlet of Old Liston, and about a fourth of the parish lie on the South east of the Amon in the County of Edinburgh". The village of Kirkliston which is situated the parish church is in the Co. [County] of Linlithgow as is also the village of Winchburgh. The only other village of note is Newbridge which is situated in the Co. [County] Edinburgh. The ancient name of the parish was Temple Liston. It is a Quoad Civilia parish of Old Standing. The River Almond although joining the County boundary is regarded as [--] boundary with reference to the parish of Kirkliston. There is no Quoad Sacre parish or district in the parish.
