The village of Kirkliston which is situated the parish church is in the Co. [County] of Linlithgow as is also the village of Winchburgh. The only other village of note is Newbridge which is situated in the Co. [County] Edinburgh. The ancient name of the parish was Temple Liston. It is a Quoad Civilia parish of Old Standing. The River Almond although joining the County boundary is regarded as [--] boundary with reference to the parish of Kirkliston. There is no Quoad Sacre parish or district in the parish. |
